98% original nickel. Perfect bore and action. EXC eagle carved pearl grips with sunken medallions. Originally had rubber grips. This Colt is extremely well documented to have been used by Texas Ranger Levi Smith.
Original solid gold (about 12 carat) badge engraved “Levi Smith Texas Ranger”
Original warrant of authority commissioning Smith as a Ranger, signed by Adjutant General W. W. Sterling and Frank Hamer, Captain of the Texas Rangers.
