Both shipped on August 29, 1893 to Charles Hummel in San Antonio. Both have
heavy engraving coverage and only minute differences in the Helfricht patterns.
First: 44-40 5½ with 50% nickel. No pitting. Good bore; EXC action. Very nice

Comes with a great and rare rig. Gun has 40% very nice blue and 30% darkened
case colors. EXC bore and action. Very nice and unusual steer head ivory grips.
Rig is about as good as they get. Holster has rawhide frill, is nicely floral
carved, and is marked "C.P. Shipley, Kansas City." Money belt is unmarked.

Richards Conversion of 1860 Army Colt
Cal. 44CF ~ C-03-44
Very rare variation with 12 cylinder
stops. Smooth with a pleasing aged thin
blue. Good markings and traces of
cylinder scene. Wedge unnumbered; GOOD
bore and action. GOOD grips, missing
very small chips. All matching, and in
the correct SN range. Extra cylinder
stops "blew out," due to being over the
chambers where metal was thin. See The
